What progress has Al-Madinah School made towards achieving Cluster Goal 1?
  • E-competencies are incorporated in many lesson plans hence students are learning to become competent with e-learning.
  • Homework given and monitored on line.
  • Many subjects are taught through inquiry based learning and this focusses is a lot on independent ICT usage.

National Goal: Increase the capability of principals to lead the integration of e-learning in their schools (strategic and operational)
Cluster Goal: Strengthen leadership in the use of e-learning to enhance effective teaching and learning.

What progress has Al-Madinah School made towards achieving Cluster Goal 2?
  • Lead teachers are passing on knowledge learnt to other teachers in their syndicates.
  • On-going support and communication.
  • Unit plans and daily planning are in-cooperating use of ICT and SOLO

  • On-going communication between different areas of school.

National Goal: Increase the capability of teachers to integrate e-learning effectively into their practice creating an innovative and exciting learning environment for all students
Cluster Goal: Implement the principles of the New Zealand Curriculum/Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, through learning programmes that develop; an understanding of student learning outcomes through SOLO Taxonomy, and the effective integration of e-learning.
What progress has Al-Madinah School made towards achieving Cluster Goal 3?
  • Planning includes ICT and SOLO Taxonomy.
  • Students and teachers are using ICT and SOLO Taxonomy in teaching and learning.
What evidence supports this?
What are the key lessons for the cluster?
  • Use a range of ICT equipment.
  • Use of variety of software’s.
What are the next steps towards achieving the outcome?
  • More PD’s.
  • Teachers need to be given time release to observe in school and visit other schools.

  • In term one we held a Primary Parent Teacher Literacy and Numeracy evening to inform parents how they can support their children’s learning at home by using e-learning.
